Physical Education and Games
In P.E the children develop body control
skills and co-ordination. They use large fixed apparatus in the
hall and also small apparatus, such as balls, skipping ropes and
hoops. They practice body shape and balance, working
individually, in pairs and in small groups. In Games the
children have the opportunity to practice a wide range of skills
and play a variety of small sided team games including,
football, netball, cricket, rounders, hockey and athletics. The
school teams always compete well in organised district events
and have had lots of success. Although the school always strives
to encourage children to achieve their goals in all P.E. and
Games activities and to compete to their best ability we also
place great emphasis on sportsmanship, fair play and teamwork.
