Organisation of the School

Classes are of mixed ability and, for the most part, the curriculum is the responsibility of the class teacher. The two reception classes also have the support of two qualified N.N.E.B.'s. Some specialisation is pursued to make the best use of the expertise of the staff. We currently teach fourteen classes, two per year group. There is an average class size of thirty pupils. Children who have special needs are supported by an experienced Special Needs Co-ordinator and Qualified Special Needs Teacher. Children may be withdrawn from the class for a couple of sessions per week for extra one-on-one tuition.
