How am I kept informed of my child's progress?
There are two parents evenings. One at the beginning of the year and one at the end. At these times the teacher will inform you of your child's progress both academically and socially. Does the school have a Bullying Policy?
The school takes bullying extremely seriously. If at any time a child is found to have been bullied or is found to be bullying there are a strict set of procedures in place that are followed (see 'Discipline' on 'The School' page). Bullying at Upton Heath is not tolerated in any form.

Who should I speak to if I have a concern about my child?
We encourage parents to speak to their child's teacher initially. Please make sure that you approach the school as soon as possible, no matter how small the concern.

What do I do if I am not the person collecting my child from school?
If you are delayed or for any reason are unable to personally pick up your child, please telephone school and we will be happy to hold on to your child until you arrive. If someone else is going to pick your child up please phone the school and we will pass a message on to your child so they are aware of the situation

What do I do if my child is on a course of medicine?
Medicine can be administered by a member of staff or the school secretary in agreement with the parent. Alternatively parents can make an arrangement to come into school and administer the medicine themselves during playtimes or dinner times. The school needs to be aware of any medicines that children are taking during school hours so parents must make sure they contact the school beforehand.
