Religious Education

As a church school all classes study aspects of Christianity through the life and teachings of Jesus. We also study many aspects of other world religions such as Buddhism, Judaism and Hinduism. We visit the local churches and the cathedral in Chester. We celebrate all the Christian festivals and welcome into the school the vicars from the local parish church and the United reform Church who regularly lead the assemblies during collective worship. The school has great respect for all other religions and this respect is encouraged, throughout the school, in the children. They are taught to be tolerant and understanding towards the opinions and beliefs of others of all different faiths. We encourage all parents to communicate with the school on the religious requirements of their own children. The school also understands the need for some children to be excused from certain lessons and facilitate this at all times.
